Figueiras is a comune ( Freguesia ) at the Portuguese circuit ( concelho ) of Lousada. 1382 inhabitants live in it (as at 30 June 2011).

History

Was first mentioned in writing Figueiras 968 in the royal surveys of 1258, the place is noted as a separate municipality.

Culture and sights

In addition to the Capela de Nossa Senhora da Misericordia in particular is the late - Baroque parish church Igreja de Figueiras Paroquial (after their patron also Igreja do Divino Salvador, dt: Church of the Redeemer ) from the 18th century historical monument.
