Filippo Timi

Filippo Timi ( born June 25, 1974 in Perugia, Umbria, Italy ) is an Italian actor and author.

Life

Timi took over first theater roles in Dario Marconcini at the Centro per la Ricerca e la Sperimentazione teatrale in Pontedera, Province of Pisa in Tuscany, as well as Cesare Ronconi at the Teatro della Valdoca in Cesena in the Emilia -Romagna. Further stations were working with Robert Wilson and Pippo Delbono. In 1996, he joined the theater company of Giorgio Barberio Corsetti.

Since the late 1990s he also took roles in Italian and international film productions, some of which were premiered in competition at the International Film Festival in Venice and Cannes. His dual role in Marco Bellocchio's Vincere drama as Benito Mussolini or his illegitimate son in 2009 brought him a nomination for the European Film Award a.
