FK Mladá Boleslav

The FK Mladá Boleslav is a Czech football club from the Central Bohemian town of Mladá Boleslav ( German Jungbunzlau ). He plays since 2004 in the Gambrinus Liga, the first Czech league. It was founded in 1909 by students as SK Mladá Boleslav.

Club history

The first club in the city was a student team from the 1910 Mladoboleslavský SK emerged. 1919 Aston Villa Mladá Boleslav was founded in the same year was Slavoj Mladá Boleslav. None of these clubs came on the second- highest league addition. 1942 failed the Mladoboleslavský SK in qualifying for the first league in 1944 as well as Aston Villa Mladá Boleslav on SK Rakovníka.

In 1950 came the merger of all urban clubs to AZNP Sokol Mladá Boleslav, who played alternately in the 2nd or 3rd league. 1977/78 subject carŠkoda Mladá Boleslav only in the Czech Cup Banik Ostrava Final. Without the support of the automobile plants of the club in 1992 even dismounted and 1995 in the third league in the Czech Division (4th league). This goal was achieved in 2004, the first year came with the 14th place relegation. The 2005/06 season was very successful, the FK Mladá Boleslav the surprise team of the Gambrinus Liga. By the second place, the club qualified for participation in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, in which Mladá Boleslav won against Vålerenga Oslo with 3:1 and 2:2. In the third round the team against Galatasaray was eliminated. About Olympique Marseille to Mladá Boleslav qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Cup (0:1 and 4:2 ). The same successful 2007/ 08, when they prevailed in the first round 0-1 and 1-0, they won the penalty shootout 4-2, against U.S. Palermo. 2011, the club won the Czech Cup (4:3 iE about SK Sigma Olomouc ).
