2011–12 UEFA Europa League

The UEFA Europa League 2011/12 was the 41st edition of the second most important competition for European football clubs, which was held up to the 2008/09 season under the name " UEFA Cup ". The contest took this season 194 clubs from all 53 national associations of UEFA part.

The season began with the first leg of the first qualifying round on 30 June 2011 and ended with the final on May 9, 2012 in the Arena Naţională in Bucharest. Participant

Participants qualified through the national league and cup competitions in the UEFA member associations. Automatically eligible to start was only the title holder of the previous year, if he had not qualified for the higher Champions League. The draw was held in Monaco on 26 August 2011.
