Fleming Iceland is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Clay County in the U.S. state of Florida with 27 126 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Fleming Iceland is about 10 km south of Jacksonville and about 15 km north of Green Cove Springs.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 27 126 inhabitants distributed to 10,440 households. 86.2 % of the population were white, 5.2% African American, 0.3% Native American and 4.1% Asian Americans. 1.5% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.7% in different ethnic groups. 6.4% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 22.1 % of all households lived in 41.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 79.1 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.76 persons and the average family size is 3.12 people.

30.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 19.4% were 20-39 years old, 33.2% were 40-59 years old and 17.4 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 40 years. 49.0 % of the population were male and 51.0 % female.

The average annual income was $ 86,510, while 4.5 % of the population lived below the poverty line.
