Francesco Dracone

Francesco Dracone ( born September 21, 1983 in Turin ) is an Italian racing driver. He joined intermittently from 2006 to 2012 in the Auto GP World Series, the former Euro Series 3000 to.

Career

Dracone began his motorsport career in 1997 in karting, where he was active until 1999. In 2002, he joined the Italian Formula 3 Championship, where he took up in 2005. However, he never took part in a full season and graduated in four years, only nine races. In 2006, he joined the Euro Series 3000 to EUR Nova Racing. He participated in seven of the nine race weekends, finishing with an eighth place as best result 23 overall. In 2007 he started for two teams in the Euro Series 3000 and he won his first points in this series. At the end of the season he was 22, 2008, denied Dracone for Emmebi Motorsport its third season in the Euro Series 3000th He succeeded in regularly to score this season and he improved in the standings to 18th place. The following season, he stayed with Emmebi motorsport, and managed once again an improvement in the overall standings to achieve. With fifth places as the best results, he finished seventh overall. In addition, he participated in two races in the Superstars Series, a touring car series, in part.

2010 took Dracone first no cockpit. The end of July he completed for Conquest Racing for a test drive in the IndyCar Series, and was then taken for two races as a replacement for Mario Romancini under contract.
