Francis Preserved Leavenworth

Francis Preserved Leavenworth ( born September 3, 1858 in Mount Vernon, Indiana, USA, † November 12, 1928, also known as Frank Leavenworth ) was an American astronomer. He discovered together with Frank Muller and Ormond Stone many NGC / IC objects. Here you used a telescope with 66 cm aperture width of the Leander McCormick Observatorys at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
