Geography

Geographical location

The Township woman stone lies directly northwest of the town of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the hilly landscape in Central Carinthia. The municipality covers large parts of the Wimitzer mountains and is characterized by wooded hills and low mountains. South of the town of Kraig is the Kraiger lake.

History

Kraig 1091, castle stone woman in 1197 was first mentioned. Economy and infrastructure

The community is from agriculture and forestry dominated (182 farms in 1999). According to the 2001 census, there are 399 employees in the community and in 1174 commuters.

Since 2007, the municipality has a new sports center in About box ( Kraig ). The tennis court has been extended to a fourth place, and a beach volleyball court was built.

Furthermore, located in the municipality of Kraigersee, a popular lake for the local population but also popular with many tourists.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of Mrs. Stone shows " in blue on a golden Dreienberg the golden castle woman stone heraldic slightly stylized, the black holes ."
