Frédérick Bousquet

Frédérick Bousquet ( born June 8, 1981 in Perpignan ) is a French swimmer.

Career

On 25 March 2004 at the NCAA Championships in New York, he improved the three -year-old 50m freestyle world record by Mark Foster. Only in 2006, this record of Roland Schoeman was broken.

On 19 June 2008 he was able to press the 4 × 100 m freestyle European record by 1.5 seconds 03:12,54 min together with Amaury Leveaux, Fabien Gilot and Bernard. They missed the world record of the U.S. season to only 8 hundredths.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he stepped over the 100 m butterfly and was a member of the French 4 × 100 m freestyle relay, with whom he won the silver medal.

In October 2010, Bousquet was suspended by the French Swimming Federation for doping for two months. After a competition in June 2010 in Canet the stimulant Heptaminol was rejected after in his urine.
