FreeMove

Free Move ( own letters Freemove ) is an alliance of four of Europe's leading mobile companies - T-Mobile, TeliaSonera, TIM and Orange - the simplified when traveling abroad roaming. The Freemove alliance was in competition for the Starmap Mobile Alliance until its dissolution in early 2007.

Within Europe, this mobile phone companies offer mobile services in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom. In these countries, customers of these mobile operators to take up the service.

The service consists in the fact that the users of the roaming business, no more, how else abroad to enter its not required in the domestic country code. For calls to UK phone numbers, a British mobile phone users in Germany without entering its country code.

In 2006, the founding member of Telefónica withdrew from the alliance. This was a concession to the competition authorities, as adopted by Telefónica O ₂ was already integrated into the competing Starmap Mobile Alliance and a distortion of competition was feared. That same year, the telecommunications group TeliaSonera has been accepted as a new member.
