Freistroff

Freistroff ( German: Free village) is a commune with 1099 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Boulay -Moselle and the Canton Bouzonville.

Geography

The village lies on the Nied, about four kilometers southwest of Bouzonville, near the border with the Saarland at an altitude 195-276 m above sea level. The municipality covers 14.67 km ².
