Friemar

Friemar is a municipality in the district of Gotha, Thuringia. It belongs to the administrative community Nesseaue.

Geography

Friemar lies in a flat valley between the wind turbines equipped, 312 meters above sea level. History

At the beginning of the 9th century, the place was called Fretmaren. In a directory of the Archbishop Lull († 786) of Mainz for the Hersfeld Abbey conferred by outdoor goods first mentioned as Friomare.
