Mountains
The landscape around Haina is dominated on the west by the transverse valley Nesse, here the rear Hainaer wood seems like a mountain to climb out of the area, the highest elevation is on the edge of the airfield Kindel (325 m above sea level. NN )

History
Early History
A significant in prehistoric and early historic times Road leads from the Thuringian basin at Haina past in the Werra.
