Leinatal

Leinatal is a municipality in the district of Gotha, Thuringia, located on the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest. It has 3886 inhabitants ( 2006) on an area of ​​35.95 km ².

Geography

History

The church was founded on 1 January 1996 by merging the municipalities Catterfeld ( with district Altenbergen ), Engelbach, Gospiteroda, Leina and Schönau before the forest represented ( with the district Wipperoda ), the previously independent municipalities in the administrative community Leinatal. On 1 January 2006, a comprehensive reform of postal codes and street names was carried out, so that now the entire community has a uniform code and every street name only appears once in the municipality.
