Radio interference was composed of Christian de Luca and Michael Fakesch duo of IDM producers from Rosenheim.

Radio interference were known for percussive complex but melodic music that is reminiscent of the work of Autechre from the late 90s, although their recent publications have included elements of both hip-hop and pop music. Radio interference were considered very active remixer, working with artists such as Jean Michel Jarre, Björk and the Wu -Tang Clan. Two of the five albums of radio interference are compilations of remixes for other artists.

An important issue in radio interference plates was always the design, often created by the British agency The Designers Republic. This penchant for graphic design achieved with the release of Isolated. Triple Media. in 2005 its peak. It is a 160 -page book with illustrations and a DVD with music videos for their album Disconnected. Both de Luca and Fakesch have released solo albums, most of them on their own label "Music Off Power ".

History

The two musicians met in 1992 together, as a de Luca hung up at a party that was organized by Fakesch. Though their musical backgrounds ( hip-hop and heavy metal ) were different, they produced initially classic minimalist techno under the name of music from current and signed in 1994 a contract for six albums with the Dutch label Bunker Records / Acid Planet. Acid Planet but managed to 1996 not to publish these productions, and so de Luca and Fakesch named in radio interference to and used the name music from electricity for their label on which it in a new, more melodic and more complex a few EPs IDM style brought out. After further EPs on Compost Records and Chocolate Industries and a series of remixes for famous artists such as Björk and the Wu -Tang Clan signed to! K7 Records eventually. There, her style changed on, among other things, further collaborations with MCs, which they tried to implement their version of a modern hip -hop production. On their album Disconnected they turned to the classic pop song also, with guest singers such as Louise Rhodes of Lamb, Sarah Jay ( known for her work with Massive Attack) and the Munich Enik. Disconnected was also the springboard for the project isolates. A series of photographs was provided on the band website and visitors were asked to change it and send it back. In the summer of 2006, the group announced their separation. The members wanted from now on go our separate ways and begin projects under his own name.
