G. Madhavan Nair

G. Madhavan Nair ( born October 31, 1943 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India) is an Indian scientist and technologist.

Life

Nair was born in a Nayar family, which belonged to the Indian middle class. He attended a school in Kanyakumari District. His engineering degree from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, University of Kerala, he completed in 1966 with the degree of B. Sc. from. After graduation, he participated in a training program at the " Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC ) Training School " in Mumbai part.

He was from September 2003 to October 2009 Head of the Indian space agency ISRO. Madhavan Nair is regarded as proponents of the plans of the President Abdul Kalam to make India a space nation.
