The basketball team of Galatasaray is the first professional basketball team, which was founded in Turkey. This was 1911. Galatasaray plays in the Turkish Basketball League of Türkiye Ligi Basketbol. Through an agreement between Galatasaray and the Turkish food manufacturer Ülker, the main sponsor of the club, the product of Ülker Café Crown for many years was also named.
In the 2007 /08 season, she represented Turkey in the ULEB Cup and excreted only in the semifinals to eventual winners Joventut de Badalona.
