Galina Chistyakova

Galina Tschistjakowa - Beskrovnajá (. Russo Галина Чистякова; engl transcription Galina Chistyakova; Slovak Galina Čisťaková; born July 26, 1962 in Izmail ) is a former track and field athlete - long jumper and triple jumper, current world record holder in long jump (August 2013), the first for the Soviet Union, then started for Russia and finally for Slovakia.

She won at the European Athletics Championships 1986 in Stuttgart and silver at the Summer Olympics in 1988 in Seoul bronze for the Soviet team. In 1988 she jumped in Leningrad was the first woman over 7.50 meters ( 7.52 m) and stop with this width is still the world record. After undergoing knee surgery in 1990, she could not find back to their old peak shape, but recorded in 1995 once more successes in the triple jump ( 14.76 meters in Lucerne ).

Since 1996 she lives with her family in Bratislava, Slovak acquired the citizenship and even then joined in competitions specifically in Olympic Summer Games 1996 in the triple jump for Slovakia. She is the national record holder in the triple jump in Slovakia.

She is married to the former Soviet long jumper Alexander Beskrovnyj. The couple has a daughter Irina (born 1982) and a grandson.
