Garry Galley

Garry Michael Galley ( born April 16, 1963 in Greenfield Park, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who and during his active career, 1981-2001, among other things for the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres New York Islanders played in the National Hockey League on the position of the defender. Career

Galley spent a highly successful junior career at Bowling Green State University, with the hockey team he played in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. In the three years there, the University won the championship three times the CCHA. The defender also received numerous awards. In 1984, he won with the team the championship of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

After Galley had already been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1983 in the fifth round at 103 instead of the Los Angeles Kings, he joined in the summer of 1984 in the professional field and immediately got a place in the squad of the Kings. Galley remained a total of three years at the Californians before he was transferred in February 1987 for Al Jensen of the Washington Capitals.
