Gary Woodland

Gary Woodland ( born May 21, 1984 in Topeka, Kansas) is an American professional golfer.

Life and career

Woodland is in Topeka, capital of Kansas, and attended the Shawnee Heights High School on the outskirts of Tecumseh. After high school, he attended Washburn University by means of a basketball scholarship. After his first year he was able to switch to a golf scholarship. Before Woodland in 2007 joined the professional field, he won six tournaments in the amateurs.

In November 2011 he won with partner Matt Kuchar playing the World Cup for the United States.
