Gaeufelden is a municipality in Baden -Württemberg and belongs to the district of Böblingen. The seat of the municipality is in the district Oeschelbronn.

Geography

Geographical location

Gaeufelden is in the upper Gaeu about seven kilometers from Herrenberg and as far removed from Nagold. The district extends over 390-545 meters.

Community structure

Gaeufelden is divided into three districts Nebringen, Oeschelbronn and Tailfingen which are identical with the former municipalities of the same name. In the area of the district is the Nebringen Outbound village Sindlingen and in the area of the district Oeschelbronn are the disposed villages Dens Lingen and Weildorf.

History

The community Gaeufelden has been newly formed on 1 July 1971 through the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Nebringen, Oeschelbronn and Tailfingen, after the majority of citizens had advocated. Since then, the population has more than doubled.

Nebringen

The place mentioned in the 12th century in connection with hirsauischem possession for the first time, came in 1382 from the Count Palatine of Tübingen in Württemberg. Ecclesiastical Nebringen belonged originally to the parish Gültstein, became independent at the end of the Middle Ages and came with the Reformation as a branch to Tailfingen ( Evangelical Deanery Herrenberg ). In Nebringen a large number of Celtic graves have been uncovered with rich grave goods on the occasion of the construction of the ring road B 14. The secured grave goods can be seen in the Württemberg State Museum. Worth seeing is the old signalman's house, which the sculptor Lutz Ackermann inspired to the "art - power plant " ( NPP ) titled work of art. The Sculpture Park is open during the summer months every first Sunday of the month.

Oeschelbronn

The community Oeschelbronn ( 1150 Eskelbrunnen ) was established in 1824 by the merger agreement of Upper and Unteröschelbronn. Oberöschelbronn to 1612 is gradually acquired by virtue of Württemberg from the possession of the Lords of Genkingen, Gültlingen and others. One half of Unteröschelbronn bought the Bebenhausen 1408-1413 by Friedrich von Enzberg and the Reutlingen citizen Peter Remp. After the Reformation this was part of Württemberg. The other half often changed the owner to Württemberg also brought in 1774 itself. The church was set in Unteröschelbronn since 1402 when Bebenhausen monastery and came up with this part of Württemberg. Oberöschelbronn and 1774 acquired half of Unteröschelbronn belonged to the old Oberamt Herrenberg. The Bebenhauser half came in 1807 after the dissolution of the monastery Oberamt added.

Tailfingen

In the 12th century the place Dalvingen is called. Local nobility must be proven from the 12th to the 14th century. In the 12th century the monasteries Hirsau and Reichenbach received, no later than the 13th century the monasteries Alpirsbach and Bebenhausen possession in Tailfingen. 1266 acquired Bebenhausen the local Alpirsbacher goods. 1418-1457 Württemberg bought the shares of the local monasteries Bebenhausen and Hirsau, the Benz Kechler Schwandorf the backup care to Reutlingen and Balthasar of Bühel. The church was set by the Lords of Hailfingen in 1350 on the foundation of Sindelfingen and its transfer to the pin Tübingen. For the Evangelical parish ( Dean's Office Herrenberg ) Nebringen belonged as a branch. The 1614 built by the architect Heinrich Mr. Berger Schickhardt old rectory near the church is privately owned.

Tailfingen was the center of hop growing in Gaeu.

Policy

Parish council

The council has 18 members in Gaeufelden after the last election. The districts form residential areas within the meaning of Baden-Württemberg municipal code. The municipal election held on 7 June 2009 yielded the following result:

The municipal council is elected by direct universal suffrage for five years. It consists of the elected honorary councilors and the mayor as chairman. The mayor is entitled to vote in the local council.

Mayor

The mayor is elected by direct vote for a term of eight years.

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: In split- front plate in silver, a black Abtsstab, back in red a silver chalice.

The Abtstab was shown both the spot signs of Nebringen as well as in the arms of Oeschelbronn. The cup comes from the old coat of arms of Tailfingen.

The municipality flag is white and red.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

Gaeufelden is served by the Gäubahn ( Stuttgart-Freudenstadt/Singen ) to the national rail network, and by a regular bus that travels to Herrenberg directly to the S1 ( Herrenberg - Plochingen ) and VVS ( Stuttgart Transport Association ). In addition, the line S41 of the Stadtbahn Karlsruhe runs Mondays to Fridays once a day to Herrenberg and in the opposite direction via Freudenstadt to Forbach (Baden ) and Karlsruhe ( only on Fridays ). The bus route to Tübingen is integrated into the traffic group naldo.

Education

In addition to the primary and secondary school with Werkrealschule Gaeufelden in the district Nebringen is also available in Oeschelbronn and Tailfingen per primary school. The local library Gaeufelden has a branch in all three districts. The folk high school Gaeufelden has its office in Nebringen and a branch in Oeschelbronn.

Communication

In Gaeufelden is comprehensive broadband Internet in the network of Telekom available. In OT- Oeschelbronn in March 2010, a T-DSL expansion of Deutsche Telekom, where almost all over the place DSL16Mbit is now available. In the other districts for the most part is DSL1000 -6000 available. The cable network, which is operated by Messrs. primacom is also improved Digital, but does not have a return channel capability and thus is not suitable for Internet access.
