GazipaÅŸa Airport
The Gazipasa Airport is located in the same town and district of Antalya Province in Turkey, about 40 kilometers south-east of Alanya.
The airport ( IATA code: GZP ) was built in 1999, but its runway was too short for international flights. The originally planned for 2008 opening was postponed several times, in 2009, the test operations began in July 2010, the domestic flight operations to Istanbul. The international flight operations has been recorded from the Netherlands since May 2011, although it has been doubted long whether the airport in Gazipasa for this is at all suitable. Transavia.com flies from Amsterdam International and Borajet from Istanbul and Ankara AnadoluJet from domestic flights.
2012, the connection Gazipaşas at several European airports was provided, usually in the summer season and in combination with tour operators:
- Belgium: Brussels ( since 28 April 2012) with Tailwind Airlines
- Denmark: Copenhagen and Billund (since 30 March 2012) with Jet Time
- Germany: Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Leipzig / Halle ( since November 6, 2013) with Sun Express
- Finland: Helsinki with Air Finland ( since 28 March 2012)
- Netherlands: Amsterdam with Transavia
- Norway: Oslo Gardermoen ( since 3 July 2012) with SAS
From Germany compounds for the tour operator Oger from Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin -Tegel, Hanover, Dresden and Dusseldorf were planned. The necessary permits were not issued in time.
