Gemma Hayes

Gemma Hayes ( born August 11, 1977 in Ballyporeen, County Tipperary ) is an Irish singer- songwriter. She has released four albums, which are primarily attributable to the alternative rock and folk.

Life and work

Gemma Hayes grew up as one of seven siblings in a musical family in Ballyporeen. She got piano lessons and taught himself to play the guitar. They first went to a boarding school and then the University of Dublin. Hayes, who had occupied himself with music and writing poetry since her school days, the study broke off after some time and focused instead on a career as a musician. She went solo in nightclubs of Dublin and earned their livelihood as employees in a laundromat.
