Geng Lijuan

Geng Lijuan ( born January 15, 1963 in Hebei ) is a Chinese table tennis player and Canadian. She is four times world champion. Since 1989 she plays for Canada.

Career in China

In the 1983 World Cup it was with Huang Junqun in a double vice world champion, with the team they won gold. In 1985, she came in to the final single, double ( with Dai Lili ) and with the team they won the title. In 1987 she won the last title, namely the Mixed with Hui Jun.

Careers in Canada

Some time before her marriage she moved in 1988 (or 1989) to Canada and earned the eligibility for this country. For Canada, they still participated in the World Championships 1991 ( quarter-finals in the individual ), 1993, 1995 ( quarter-finals in the individual ), 1997, 1999 ( quarter-finals in doubles), 2000 and 2001 in part.

1996 and 2000 she took part in the Olympic Games.

Multiple they won the national championship and the North American Championship.

In 1990, she joined the German Bundesliga club Spvg Steinhagen. After the withdrawal of this association, she moved to Ottawa in 1994 to return to the team in 1997 after Germany to galaxy Lübeck.

Private

In 1983 she learned in Canada originating from Romania table tennis player Horatio Pintea know. This denied since 1983 international competition for Canada. 1988 Lijuan Geng moved to Canada in June 1989, she married Pintea.

Her sister Geng Lihong came from China in 1991 to TTK GW Kiel.
