George Cosmas Adyebo

George Cosmas Adyebo ( born June 18, 1947 ( other source: 1945) in Owiny Village / Kwania, † November 19, 2000 in Kampala ) was a Ugandan politician and former prime minister.

The study of industrial engineering, he graduated with a "master" - from degree of Charles University in Prague. From 1976 to 1979 he was a systems analyst and programmer in the Ministry of Finance. Then he was up to 1983 employees in the Ministry of Education. As such, he was lecturer at Uganda Business College of Nakawa, today's Makerere Business School. Then he was from 1983 to 1989 Rector of the Uganda Business College of Aduku. During this time he was a member of the District Assembly of Aduku for the NRC. Later he represented the constituency Kwania in Parliament.

Adyebo was appointed on 22 January 1991 by President Yoweri Museveni to succeed Prime Minister Samson Kisekka as this became vice president. Adyebo remained in this office until zum18. November 1994. He was also Vice Chairman of the NRC.

From 1994 to 1997 Adyebo was then adviser to President Museveni.

After a long illness, he died on 19 November 2000 at the International Hospital in Kampala.
