German records in Olympic weightlifting
This list shows the current German records in weightlifting. Records can currently in the snatch, jerk and be placed in a duel (as of August 2012).
Development of Records
In contrast to the world records in weightlifting German records were not deleted after the respective changes of the weight classes, but moved to the new classes. This explains why there are records that have been established before the last change in 1998. Furthermore, the records were after the introduction of the 1 -kilogram rule which says that now may be increased in 1- kg increments, not rounded down, as was the case with the world records. This does not yet exist integer records.
