Ghazni ( غزني Pashtun, Persian غزنی ) and Ghazni (ancient Alexandria ) is the capital of Ghazni province in central Afghanistan. The population of the city is around 157 600.

History

Islamic Capital of Culture 2013

Ghazni was selected in 2004 by the Conference of Islamic culture minister in Algeria in addition to three other cities, Al - Madinah Al- Munawarah, Bishkek and Ouagadougou, for participation in the project " Capital of Islamic Culture ".
