Giuseppe Mani

Giuseppe Mani ( born June 21, 1936 in Rufina, Florence, Italy) is an emeritus Archbishop of Cagliari.

Life

Giuseppe Mani received on 12 March 1960, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Fiesole.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 29 October 1987 Titular Bishop of Zaba and auxiliary bishop in Rome. He received his episcopal consecration Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti on 7 December of the same year in the cathedral of Fiesole; Co-consecrators were the suffragans Ennio Appignanesi and Plinio Pascoli.

On 31 January 1996 he was appointed Military Archbishop of Italy and Titular Archbishop per hac vice of Zaba. From his position as Titular Archbishop of Zaba, he resigned on 7 March 1998. On 20 June 2003 he was appointed Archbishop of Cagliari and introduced into the office on 6 September of the same year.
