Glasgow Govan (Scottish Parliament constituency)

Glasgow Govan was a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of ten constituencies of choice Glasgow Area, which was re-cut by the revision of constituencies in 2011 and comprises only nine constituencies. Here, the constituency of Glasgow Govan was abolished. It included the Western Glasgow city districts, including Ibrox, Govan, Pollokshaws, Pollokshields and Shield Hall, and sent a deputy. The majority of the areas of Glasgow Govan is now assigned to the constituencies Glasgow Cathcart Glasgow Pollok and Glasgow Southside.
