The station Glauburg - floor home is next to the breakpoint Glauburg - Glauberg one of two railway stations in the Upper Hessian community Glauburg. It is located at kilometer 45.8 of the Lahn- Kinzig -Bahn ( railway - Gelnhausen Giessen ). Furthermore, here branches off the Niddertalbahn to Bad Vilbel. From 1 October 1888 to the June 1, 1984 here began the Upper Forest Railway to Lauterbach.

The station is located in the tariff area of the Rhine -Main Transport Association ( RMV).

History

The station Glauburg - floor home was under the name Stockheim ( Oberhess ) opened the Lahn- Kinzig- train on October 30, 1870 commissioning of the section Nidda Büdingen. On 1 October 1888, the leg Stock Home Gedern (Upper Forest Railway ), opened the Niddertalbahn. This section is the oldest part of Niddertalbahn. Exactly 17 years later, on October 1, 1905, which Niddertalbahn the south was further expanded (chain Nidderau - floor home ). Tracks

Reception building

Nicknamed Stockheimer Lizzie owes Niddertalbahn the previous station restaurant in floor home where many travelers and railway staff, used to stop at landlady Liesel fire. First among railroaders, and soon among the population was the ride " for Lizzie " by Stockheim dictum.

After many years of decline, the station building was finally sold in 2006 to a private individual and partially renovated. The station restaurant is been modernized and reopened as a bistro. In the former service rooms, a model railway (Model railway station Stock Home ) be visited with a focus on Niddertalbahn in the time frame of the 1950s and 1960s.

Traffic

Rail traffic

On the Niddertalbahn weekdays trains of Deutsche Bahn AG run every hour to Frankfurt (Main) Central Station, which is compressed Mondays to Fridays during rush hours to a half hour to Bad Vilbel. On Sundays, the trains run every two hours just to Bad Vilbel.

On the Lahn- Kinzig -Bahn trains of the Hessian State Railways ( HLB) ( GTW 2/6) at hourly intervals between casting and Gelnhausen. In the rush hour end or start individual trains in Nidda.

Bus

On Stockheimer Station hold a series of regional bus services. From 1 May to 31 October each year runs the Vogelsberg volcanic Express ( VEx ) ( bus VB - 90 and VB -95). From the floor Bahnhof from but only run the lines VB -90 by slot over Gedern, Grebenhain, Herb Stein and Lauterbach, and the bus line VB -94 from Budingen over stock Home and Gedern on the Hoherodskopf.
