Glenfiddich (pronounced with a hard "ch " as in " Bach" [ ɡlenfɪdɪx ], Scottish Gaelic Gleann Fhiodhaich, " Hirschtal ") is a whiskey distillery in Dufftown in the former county of Banffshire in Scotland.

History

The Glenfiddich distillery in the homonymous valley in Speyside in the Scottish Highlands was built in 1886 by William Grant and his family, the stills were from the old Cardhu distillery. Christmas 1887 began the first production of whiskey. Since then, the distillery produces the same place with the same manufacturing process with one of the smallest stills Scottish distilleries. The company is still owned by the Grant family.

Production
