Glostrup Municipality

Glostrup Kommune [ glo ː ʔsdʀob ] is a municipality in the northeast of the Danish island of Zealand and part of the closed settlement area Hovedstadsområdet.

Within the Capital Region, the municipality belongs with an area of ​​13.30 km ² and 21,869 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) to the smaller municipalities and consists only of a single parish municipality (Danish: Sogn ) Glostrup Sogn. This originally belonged to Harde Smørum Herred in Københavns office and was with the Danish administrative reform in 1970 a separate municipality within scaled Københavns office, the same came up with the municipal reform of 2007 in the Capital Region.
