The GMC Envoy is a US -produced by General Motors sport utility vehicle that was offered from 2002 to 2009. Technically the vehicle based on the GMT360 platform. From the predecessor GMC Jimmy, there was an outfit option called Envoy.

In the model introduced in 2002, it was a new design based on the same platform as the Chevrolet TrailBlazer. The end of 2008 the production of the Envoy was discontinued. Because of overcapacity, the model 2009 was still available as a new car. The Envoy was offered in the U.S. at prices 30000-38000 $. In Germany the GMC Envoy Trailblazer was, unlike the identical Chevrolet officially not available.

Since autumn 2009, the GMC Terrain compact SUV is available in the model range, which replaces the model replacing the Envoy. The Envoy XL was replaced by the GMC Acadia.

Drive

Was driven Envoy either by a 4.2- liter six-cylinder engine with 214 kW ( 291 hp) in the two-wheel drive version or a 5.3 -liter V8 engine with 222 kW ( 302 hp) in the all-wheel version. The fuel economy was moving 11 to 16 l/100 km ( factory specifications ).
