Gmina Milówka

Milówka is a village and capital of the same rural community in the powiat Żywiec in Silesia.

Geography

Milówka lies in the Saybuscher Beskydy Mountains in the Outer Western Carpathians, south of the town of Zywiec. Through the village of Soła River, which flows into the Vistula flows. The village Milówka divided traditionally into the districts Balasówka, Ciapałowie, Ficki, Juraszka, Komery, Siedloki and Zabawa.

History

The first settlements were probably established in the second half of the 15th century along the trade route from Wieliczka to Hungary. 1608 the village was mentioned in the chronicles as Milówka. 1669 visited the Polish king John II Casimir the village. 1879 the first bank was opened. 1882 a synagogue was built. In November 1894 Rajcza was connected to the railway network Żywiec Čadca (SK). 1889, the volunteer fire department and 1903 the first school was founded. Several families in 1940 were driven Saybusch in the action.

From 1975 to 1998 Milówka belonged to the Bielsko- Biała Voivodeship.

The rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) Milówka extends over an area of ​​98.33 km ² of which 35 % is used for agriculture and 51 % is covered by forest. It is divided into the following districts ( sołectwo ) Milówka, Laliki, Kamesznica, Nieledwia and Szare.

Neighboring municipalities are GOPR Radziechowy - Wieprz Rajcza, Ujsoły, Węgierska Górka and Wisła.

Education

The municipality has two kindergartens ( Przedszkole ) and six primary schools ( SzkoĹ podstawowa ).

Traffic

Through the community's Droga ekspresowa S69 runs ( partially under construction) Bielsko- Biała - Żywiec Zwardoń (PL / SK ) and the rail - Zwardoń Katowice (PL / SK).
