Gooi

Het Gooi, officially also Gooiland, a region in the province of North Holland, between Amsterdam, Amersfoort and Utrecht is located. To embossed with heath, forest, meadows and small lakes region include, among many authentic villages several important conservation areas south of the IJsselmeer.

The word Gooi is an ancient form of addition of the Dutch word Gouw, German Gau. The largest communities include Gooische Hilversum ( the main town ), Huizen, Bussum, Naarden, Laren and Blaricum. The cultural area has been inhabited for over 3000 years. The highest point in Het Gooi is located between Blaricum and Huizen Table Mountain with 36,40 m.

In general, the Dutch language Het Gooi is also linked to the prosperity of its inhabitants and with the specially very strong presence in the room Hilversum Media ( radio and television ).

In the developed by Linda de Mol series Fine girlfriends ( Original title: Gooische Vrouwen ) of the ZDF showed only the first season in the summer of 2007, some of the supposedly typical Gooische properties and things are presented: prosperity, Gooische mattresses, representative houses and expensive cars.
