Gouvy ( German Geilich ) is a Belgian municipality in the district of Luxembourg Bastogne province.

Administrative divisions

The community Gouvy was formed 1 January 1977 as part of the Belgian government reform from the following five previously independent municipalities (now districts of the municipality Gouvy ):

The village Gouvy, after which the village was named, belongs to the suburb Limerlé. The district Beho traditionally belongs to the German-language area. From 1940 until the liberation in 1944, he was annexed by Germany.
