Government House

Government House ( literally translated as Government House ) is the usual name of the office and residence of the Governor General, Governor or Deputy Governor (Lieutenant Governor ) in the countries of the Commonwealth of Nations and the former British Empire.

Australia

The Government House (Canberra ) is the residence of the Governor General of Australia. In addition, the residences of Governors of the Australian states and territories are known as Government House:

The Government House ( Suva ) is the residence of the President of Fiji.

Hong Kong

The Government House ( Hong Kong) was until 1997 the residence of the British Governors and is since January 2006, the official residence of the Chief Executive Donald Tsang.

Isle of Man

The Government House in Onchan is the official residence of the Lord of man (currently Queen Elizabeth II ), and the Lieutenant Governor, the official representative of the British crown on the island.

Jersey

The Government House in Saint Saviour is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Jersey.

New Zealand

The Governor-General of New Zealand has two residences: Government House (Wellington ) and Government House ( Auckland )

Gambia
