Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental

Governor Generoso is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Davao Oriental and is located on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 50 372 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 20 barangays.

The municipality of Governor Generoso is located about 140 kilometers southeast of Davao City on the St. Augustine Peninsula and is accessible via the coastal road on the Gulf of Davao from there. The municipality covers an area of 374.25 km ² and the terrain is dominated by the mountain range of the Hamiguitan which rises to 1620 meters above sea level.
