Manay, Davao Oriental

Manay is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Davao Oriental and is located on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 40,577 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 17 barangays. It belongs to the second class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.

The municipality of Manay is located on the east coast of the island of Mindanao, about 54 km north of the provincial capital, Mati City, and is accessible via the coastal road from there. The municipality covers an area of 540.51 km ².
