The Ethniki Odos 38/Εθνική Οδός 38 (Greek for National road 38 ') is a major Greek highway connection between the city of Agrinio in the west and the city of Lamia in the east of Central Greece. The part of the national road which leads from its beginning in the small town of Thermal after Agrinio, is only of regional importance. It is by far the most important road of Evrytania prefecture and represents their connection to Western Greece and Epirus and Thessaly, Central Greece and Attica ago.

Thermo- Agrinio - Episkopi ( Aetolia - Acarnania )

The National Road 38 begins in the small town of Thermal, which is located northeast of the eastern end of the Trichonida lake. The National road crosses 40, the National Road 5 ( Arta Messolonghi ) and thus establishes the connection between the north-south axis road National 5 and the east- west axis, National Road 38.

The National Road 38 is swung in the city of Agrinio northeast and leads first to the east in the northern coastal plain of the Trichonida lake. After delivery of a provincial road towards Kenourgio and Paravola swings the National Road 38 to the North and rises on the western slopes of the main ridge of the Pindos Mountains in the direction Frangoskala. Prior to the passage of this town the river Zervas is crossed by a bridge. Subsequently, the National Highway 38 extends further to the North along the ridge east of Kastraki Lake to the village of Avlakies.
