Greg Collins (ice hockey)

Greg Collins ( born February 14, 1986 in Rochester, New York ) is an American professional ice hockey player who plays since July 2012 at the Eindhoven Kemphanen in the Eredivisie, the highest Dutch league, on the position of the striker. His brother Chris is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Collins began his career at the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders, by which he was drafted into the United States Hockey League in 2003. In his first season he was already a regular player and scored 34 points in 57 games. After two years, he joined the team at the University of New Hampshire for which he was four years in the National Collegiate Athletic Association on the ice before he moved to the farm team of the Phoenix Coyotes in the ECHL.

Was then announced in July 2011 that he moves to SC Riessersee in the 2nd Hockey League, among other things, on the advice of the players' agent, Steve Bartlett (father of Scott Bartlett, who played in the previous season at SC Riessersee ) and the former SC Riessersee player Kevin Kapstad, with whom he played together in New Hampshire. In July 2012, Collins changes to the Dutch team Eindhoven Kemphanen was announced on the club's website.
