Grey District

The Grey District is one of three districts in the region located on the South Island West Coast.

Settlements

He encloses the area of the largest and most important city in the area, Greymouth. Other settlements and Moana Runanga is a small town with about 1000 inhabitants.

Infrastructure

The Grey District traverse the State Highway 6 (SH 6) runs through the entire region of West Coast from north to south, and finally via the Haast Pass to Queenstown, and the State Highway 7, the district over the Lewis Pass to the Canterbury region connects. To the south of the district runs the State Highway 73, which goes over the Arthur 's Pass to Christchurch on the east coast. Greymouth is also the head station of the Midland railway line.
