Großwoltersdorf is a municipality in the northern part of the Upper Havel in Brandenburg and is part of the Office Gransee and communities.

The municipality is located in the Natural Park Stechlin - Ruppin country and is structured according to the main statutes in six districts.

Demographics

History

The community Großwoltersdorf was formed on September 27, 1998 by the merger of the former municipalities Großwoltersdorf, Zernikow and Wolfsruh. The formerly independent city Burow was incorporated by Altglobsow on January 1, 1957. The communities Altglobsow and Buchholz were again incorporated on April 30, 1974 after Zernikow.

1362 Zernikow was first mentioned. Middle of the 17th century was the knight dynasty of Zernikow over-indebted. After several other owners acquired Crown Prince Friedrich 1737 Good Zernikow and donated it in 1740 to his chamberlain Michael Gabriel Fredersdorff ( 1708-58 ). This extended the estate, with the manor in 1746 was built to plans from Knobelsdorffs site office. 1747 mulberry plantation was created in 1751 as well as other avenues also Maulbeerallee (now a listed building ).

1750 married Fredersdorff the banker heiress Caroline Maria Elisabeth Daum ( 1730-1810 ). After Fredersdorffs death († 1758) she married in 1760 Johann Freiherr von Labes ( 1731-1776 ). Their children were Caroline Amalie of Labes (1761-1781) and Hans von Labes (1763-1831), who later built the castle slot. Amalie Caroline of Labes married in 1777 to Joachim Erdmann Freiherr von Arnim ( 1741-1804 ); the children were Carl Otto called Pit von Arnim (1779-1861) and the later romantic poet Ludwig Achim (1781-1831) married to Bettina von Arnim ( born April 4, 1785 Frankfurt am Main, † 20 January 1859 in Berlin ).

The last gentleman on Zernikow until 1945 Friedmund Freiherr von Arnim (* 1898-1946 ) and his wife Clara von Arnim, née von Hagens (* 1909-2009 ).

Museums

  • Good Zernikow: There the knight festival and the mulberry festival takes place in August on the 1st weekend; in the inspector's house are readings and organized in the old distillery exhibitions.

Structures

  • Zernikowsche village church with Patronatsloge under the gallery. The restoration of the church was promoted in the years between 1999 and 2004, among others by the German Foundation for Monument Protection. At the gallery hang the founders portraits: Hans Reich Freiherr von Labes on Zernikow (* January 6, 1731; † July 27, 1776 ); Born Amalia Caroline von Arnim von Labes (* May 13, 1761, † February 14, 1781 ); Carolina Maria Elisabeth of Labes born Daum ( * July 27, 1730, † March 10, 1810 ); Michael Gabriel Fredersdorff (* June 6, 1708; † January 17, 1758 ), Royal Prussian Privy chamberlain. In the crypt located under the altar the coffins of Hans honor pond of Schöning and his wife Johanna Hedwig, née von Guericke (owner of Zernikow 1709-30 ) lie.
  • Manor House in Zernikow in which Achim von Arnim often spent his holidays as a child. In the house informed a museum about the romantic poets.
  • Was donated Fredersdorffsches family vault, 1777, widow of Carolina Maria Elisabeth of Labes Fredersdorff born thumb (until 1999 restored). Until after the Second World War, it was on the sarcophagi of Michael Gabriel Fredersdorff (* June 6, 1708; † January 14, 1758 ), Carolina Maria Elisabeth of Labes (* July 27, 1730, † March 10, 1810 ), Amalia Caron Lina von Arnim born of Labes (* May 13, 1761, † February 14, 1781 ), Hans baron of Labes (* January 6, 1731; † July 27, 1776 ), and Baron Carl Otto Ludwig von Arnim (* August 1, 1779; † February 9, 1861 )
  • Inspector's house in Zernikow (nowadays inn ).
  • In Zernikow several avenues, including an avenue of lime trees and Maulbeerallee.
