Gudrun Gut

Gudrun Gut, maiden name Gudrun Brede (b. 1960 in Celle ) is a German musician, DJ, presenter and producer.

Life

Gudrun Gut Gudrun was born Brede man in Celle and grew up in the Lüneburg Heath. Since 1975 she lives in Berlin. She studied from 1978 to 1984 Visual Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since the late 1970s it is in the alternative music scene in Berlin Active: In 1977, she was with Mark One and the other member of the performance band DIN A test image 1979 she founded with Karin Luner, Bettina Köster, Eva Gössling and Beate Bartel the band Mania D, 1980, Gudrun Gut founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten ( with Blixa Bargeld, NU Unruh and Beate Bartel ). In Woman in Rock, a documentary from 1980, Mania D are represented by two pieces, 1995, this document has been republished. Beginning of 1981, she set up with Bettina Köster the band Malaria! ( whose maxi -EP Malaria! clear with her famous tracks Cold water was released in April 1981) and 1982, the experimental project Matador ( with Manon Duursma and Beate Bartel Pepita ).

In 1990, she spoke in the radio drama production of Heiner Müller's Hamlet Machine Ophelia ( with Blixa Bargeld as Hamlet ). It was followed by several music for radio plays with Wolfgang beef as a dramaturge and 2002 Music for the Children's Learning Game Brand in the harbor? (as bmgg together with Barbara Morgenstern ).

Since 1991, it operates with the Canadian Myra Davies, the performance / spoken word project miasma, since 1993 the project Ocean Club, under which they 1996 Pop CD The Ocean Club and published from August 1997 to July 2012 on Radio One together with Thomas Fehlmann the weekly broadcast Ocean Club Radio hosted and produced.
