Guido Alberti

Guido Alberti ( born April 20, 1909 in Benevento, † August 3, 1996 in Rome ) was an Italian industrialist and actor.

Life

Alberti was co-owner of the company founded by his father Ugo Alberti Strega company that sells liqueurs. In 1947 he founded together with Goffredo and Maria Bellonci the literary prize "Premio Strega ", which is awarded to the best Italian writing fictional prose author year. 1955 Alberti played a small role in Gli by Mauro Bolognini innamorati. Federico Fellini then cast him in 1963 in eight and a half and started thanks to its impressive presence thus at the age of 53 years a remarkable career as a character actor in numerous films, including numerous criminal matter, but also with Francesco Rosi, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Roman Polanski. He also starred in several television roles in the 1960s, such as Ugo Gregorettis Il circolo Pickwick or Leonardo Cortese Luisa Sanfelice.

Alberti was married to the popularized as an astrologer and journalist, German -born Lucia Alberti since 1953.
