History

The river Agout apparently forms the basis for the settlement of the area. Since the Neolithic period the river was passable. In the Middle Ages a castle made it possible to monitor the river crossing. There then began an increased colonization. Built in 1831 the bridge has become a symbol for the unity of the village since the merger of the two communities in 2007. Thanks to the strong will of the two mayors and municipal councils could merge the two communities for a referendum.
