Gummy (singer)
Gummy ( Kor. 거미, Spider, born April 8, 1981 in Seoul, whose real name is Park Ji -yeon, 박지연 ) is a South Korean R & B and K- pop singer. She was a long time in YG Entertainment under contract.

Life
2003-2009: Debut and breakthrough
Gummy began playing at age six on the piano and dreamed early from a career that had been denied her mother. She studied at the Dongduk Women's University and published in 2003 her first single, When You Come Back as well as their first album Like Them. Success she had only her second album It 's Different, which was released on September 9, 2004 with the title track Memory Loss ( 기억 상실, kiok sangshil ) when they are the 19th Golden Disk Awards and the " Mobile Popularity Award" at the Mnet Asian Music Awards won.
The singer brought her fourth album Comfort out on March 12, 2008. The release date of the album was thereby postponed several times because Gummy was very attentive to her quality of the board, which should show their further development as a singer. On the single I'm Sorry ( 미안 해요, Mian haeyo ) can be heard from BIG BANG TOP also; He and labelmate Sandara Park of 2NE1 are also seen in the music video for the single. 2010-2011: Comeback and Loveless (EP)
From 2008 to 2010 Gummy paused due to laryngitis. In April 2010, YG Entertainment announced further plans for Gummy known a little later on April 21, was to find her single Loveless in the stores, the eponymous mini-album was followed a week later.

2013: 10th anniversary, Snow Flower and the 2nd Japanese Mini Album

Gummy took a further chart success with the song Snow Flower, which she recorded for the TV series That Winter, The Snow Blows. The song placed far forward in the Gaon Charts.
The singer their activities are further concentrated back to Japan and released their second Japanese album, Fate ( s ). Gummy was involved in the production of the album, for which she won the renowned Japanese producer Jeff Miyahara, among other things, had worked for artists such as Namie Amuro and KAT -TUN. For the album Gummy recorded the song Believe on together with Daesung from BIG BANG and two music videos were shot for it.
