Günter Friesenbichler (born 4 March 1979) is an Austrian football player.

Career

Friesenbichler began his career at SC Weiz. He later moved within the Styria SV Frohnleiten, from there he moved on to his first professional station, the SC Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz. In 2000 he returned to Styria and played at DSV Leoben. After two years with the blast furnace dwellers, the striker went to Skoda Xanthi in Greece, later moving within the Greek League for AS Egaleo to Athens, where he was also employed in the UEFA Cup.

After three years in Greece Friesenbichler 2005 returned to Austria and joined the first division SV Ried, where he made ​​his debut in the highest Austrian league, eight more games to follow. After only half a year in Upper Austria he went to SC Austria Lustenau in the second Austrian league. There Friesenbichler moved in summer 2008 to VfB Admira Wacker. After two successful seasons, Friesenbichler left in January 2011, the Mödlinger and moved to TSV Hartberg, where his brother Bruno was coach. After the interlude in Eastern Styria, he returned for two seasons back in the Bundesliga and played at SC Wiener Neustadt, before he again followed the call of his brother Bruno and returned to TSV Hartberg in summer 2013.
