Guy Chambers

Guy Chambers ( born January 12, 1963 in London ) is a British songwriter, musician and record producer.

Life

Chambers studied composition at the Guildhall School of Music. After studying Chambers went on tour as a musician, including with Julian Cope and the Waterboys before 1986 Karl Wallinger's World Party project turned down and wrote with Wallinger together for the album Bang. In 1993, Chambers his own band, The Lemon Tree, 1995 but was already the end for the band. Then he turned his attention increasingly to songwriting until he met in January 1997 with Robbie Williams.

Collaboration with Robbie Williams

Chambers acted for Williams' first five albums as co- writer and producer. Each of these albums reached # 1 in the British charts, and overall they sold worldwide more than 37 million times. Chambers was involved in many hits of Williams, among others, Angels ( for which he wrote the chorus ), Rock DJ, Feel, Millennium and Let Me Entertain You. After the recording of Williams' fifth album Escapology in 2002, the cooperation ended due to artistic differences. 2013 both were back together and worked together on Williams' album Swings Both Ways, the Chambers also produced.

After the break with Williams

Since then, Chambers has written and produced for a variety of artists, including Texas, Will Young, Rachel Stevens and Andrea Bocelli. He also worked on a number of film scores, including the soundtrack for Bridget Jones - chocolate for breakfast, Finding Nemo and Love Actually ... as well as a collaboration with Queen of We Are the Champions for the film A Knight's Tale.

He wrote songs for Kylie Minogue's 2000 album Light Years, including the Single Kids ( a duet with Williams ) and Your Disco Needs You.
