Halle (region)

The county hall was next to Magdeburg and Dessau one of the three administrative districts of Saxony- Anhalt. He was in the south of the state.

The county as a successor to the administrative district of Merseburg was initially until the administrative reform of 1952 and then went into the East German district hall. As part of the restoration of the countries in the nascent GDR in resolution 1990, the Region of Halle was re-established. On 1 January 2004 but was finally dissolved. The tasks of the former government took over the Bureau set up for the whole province Landesverwaltungsamt based in Halle (Saale ).
